Has Sasarai still not returned?

[Raine]
How are you feeling? Has there been any improvement?

[Jade and Dist]
I need to speak with you. The both of you. It's recently come to my attention that this cannot be avoided any longer. You two can either visit me together, or give your stories seperately.

[Considering it's such a nice day outside, Gelda has taken a chair and is sitting in the shade in front of house #27. She found an interesting book in the library to waste some time with. You can tell her attention isn't quite on the pages, though. Feel free to bug her, considering she hasn't been around all too much these past few weeks.]

Jade, you really shouldn't speak that way about your friends. You make it sound like you're disappointed he was unharmed.

I do not mean anything by it. [Oh, he so does.] It was just the most fitting way to describe his survival abilities.

[She raises an eyebrow, but decides to let the matter go.]

Then you fought the replica by yourselves.

How did you ultimately defeat her?

[Action]

[identity profile] necromance-this.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. The glyph for the Planetary Fonic Arte was beneath her seal, and with the six catalysts gathered together and placed on the glyph, I was able to cast the arte. Needless to say, it was as powerful as they say, instantly annihilating a dangerous fonist who still had plenty of strength left following the battle.

[Action]

[identity profile] fonon-professor.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
... That is precisely why I refused to research it any further. The Planetary Fonic Arte's power is far too great a weapon for any human to wield.

[Action]

[identity profile] necromance-this.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. Having held that power in my hand for that moment... It is indeed something to be feared.

There is no fear of anyone ever being able to use that arte again, though. The Catalysts are scattered, and I cannot replicate the Planetary Fonic Arte, especially if I do not have the glyph.

[identity profile] fonon-professor.livejournal.com 2009-08-12 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Could someone not follow the same path you took and bring the Catalysts to Mt. Roneal once more?

Several of the weapons are in protective custody of the ruling powers.

Furthermore, the glyph is damaged.

Oh, I see. That's a relief, then.

My story ends there. [He decides he won't tell her Dist is a criminal and he had to arrest him.]

Is there anything else you wished to know?

[Action]

[identity profile] fonon-professor.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[That would probably be for the best.]

That depends. Is there anything else you feel I should know about?

[identity profile] necromance-this.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I had banned fomicry in my world. But despite my ban on the process, there are those who continued to use it, often for malicious purposes. Human replication continued behind the scenes, albeit at a slow rate until Van Grants attempted to replicate the world.

The new process of fomicry, which utilized seventh fonons and fonic technology, was a near perfect process, as the replicas it yielded did not suffer from lack of necessary fonons, as yours did.

In fact, there are two replicas here, in Luceti, that were created with that process.

[Action]

[identity profile] fonon-professor.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Two of them?

[She's got a sneaky suspicion who one of them might be, considering Luke and Asch look an awful lot alike. But who would the other replica be? Unless Luke and Asch are both replicas of another person. Hmm...]

[Action]

[identity profile] necromance-this.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes.

They are Luke fon Fabre, replica of Asch, who is the true Luke fon Fabre, and... Florian, who is one of seven replicas of Fon Master Ion, the most recent of the Fon Masters.

[Action]

[identity profile] fonon-professor.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Seven replicas of the Fon Master? Why would the Fon Master allow himself to be replicated so many times? Was he in danger of being assassinated?

[Action]

[identity profile] necromance-this.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
It had been foretold in the score that he would die. At the time, he was only 12, so a suitable heir had not yet been selected.

[Action]

[identity profile] fonon-professor.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. But why seven? Surely, one replica would be enough to replace him.

[Action]

[identity profile] necromance-this.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Did I not say that fomicry was only a near-perfect process? Replicas hold differences from their originals. They may not always have the same capacities that their originals did. In the case of the replicas of Fon Master Ion, most of them did not possess the level of ability to read the Score as he did.

[identity profile] fonon-professor.livejournal.com 2009-08-13 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Seven tries before they managed to create a replica worthy of the title "Fon Master"...
