[One of our resident school teachers has just finished one of those important household tasks we must all face: grocery shopping. Of course, it's not so much shopping as stocking, considering the lack of a cash register in every store. Gelda's making her way back to her house, carrying two large bags filled to the brim with an assortment of groceries. Are they heavy? Yes. Yes, they are. She isn't going to complain, but if one were to offer her a hand, she wouldn't say no.

Ah, Hermoine. Only if you have some time to spare. I wouldn't want to keep you if you're busy.
no subject
Not at all. I wasn't actually doing anything but walking around a little bit.
How have you been? I don't think we've met outside of class before.
no subject
I've been perfectly fine, thank you. Somehow, there is always something to keep me busy in this village. How about you?
no subject
I'm glad to hear it. I've been all right. [She only sounds about halfway all right, though.] Some days I feel as though I have too much to do and others I don't have enough.
no subject
Would you like more homework, then? I'm sure Professor Sage and I could come up with a nice assignment.
no subject
I'd love some. What kind of project should I work on? [You realise she's going to obsess over this now, right?]
no subject
Hm... Have you done much research about the Filial spirits yet?
no subject
I have, but I haven't had the chance to actually call for one yet. [You can test her if you'd like. She's probably already proven enough times in class that she's the equivalent of a human dictionary and textbook.]
no subject
Perhaps you can try comparing Filial magic to the magic indigenous in your own world. It should be worthy of a nice essay.
no subject
I can do that with the basic idea of both already. [She's done her research, this one has.] However, I would also want to add in a comparison of their practical uses. For instance, how each type of magic also has different branches associated with it and each branch is very different from the next. Do you have a specific length you'd like me to shoot for?
no subject
That sounds fine. I'd say it shouldn't be any more than fifteen pages. Five is an acceptable minimum, correct?
no subject
[The length makes her blink though and she has to do a quick translation in her head.]
All right. I should be able to do that. [Easily and willingly, even.] Anything else to go with it? [And she's starting to sound really excited about this. Hell if she's going to leave anything out.] Perhaps the process I go through with learning the new magic?
no subject
If you can fit it into the fifteen pages, by all means, feel free to be as elaborate as you like.
no subject
All right! I will! Thank you, Professor! [At least she's not the kind of student who causes trouble when she's bored.]
no subject
You're most welcome. I expect an interesting read.
no subject
It should be. My magic is quite different from anything else I've seen here. [And she's already planning on adding in sections about Muggles and how she found out she had magic versus how Filial magic is acquired.]
no subject
It just goes to show that Luceti never ceases to amaze.
no subject
no subject
Indeed. As long as you harbor a curiosity towards other worlds, you won't find yourself growing bored in the least.
no subject
Of course. [She's going to walk as far as you want her to before setting the bag down / handing it to you again.] It's much more interesting learning about other magic and other worlds. Learning anything at all makes the environment more interesting.
no subject
This is exactly why I'm glad so many children are attending school here.
no subject
It's rather exciting to see so many people interested in learning so much. The subject matter is different and yet familiar for me. I love every minute of school, but I always have.
no subject
The lessons are challenging enough for you, I hope?
no subject
Of course, though I will never turn down a chance to do more.
