[After a rude awakening in the barracks by Simon to discover the village is slowly patching itself up, Gelda's heading back to house #27 to check up on her housemates- Both the temporary ones and the usual. There's something strange going on today, that much is certain, but she can't quite put her finger on it just yet.

Of course, those who're familiar with Gelda will realize she looks a bit odd herself. She's wearing something similar to an army uniform and seems a bit more fit than usual. Feel free to run into her while she's heading home and ask her about this strange attire.

When she gets home, the first thing she'll do is check up on Nephry, Dist and Anise. If there is something strange going on, they may be affected as well.]

[Gelda blinks, then drops her offensive stance.] Anise?

[There's no doubt that it's her, but why is she suddenly several years older?]

... Yeah, were you expecting someone else?

And before you ask, I'm feeling a lot better. My ankle's completely fine - I just went out to stretch my legs.

You're so... [Don't say old, don't say old]

[She runs a hand through her hair, frowning.] There's something strange going on.

[Not gonna waste any words here.] Experiment. You're dressed all strange and I'm older than you remember, right?

That sums it up quite nicely. [Though Anise isn't dressed all that strangely. ... Unless she's referring to Gelda? At the thought of that, she tugs faintly at her uniform. Is purple not her color? It's what she's always been wearing.]

It's just another day in Luceti, really.

So, um, I'm guessing you're... [not dead in our world?] still part of the Oracle Knights, back on Auldrant?

[Strange. Nephry was under the impression Gelda had left the Knights as well.] Yes, I am. Do you remember differently?

Yeah, sort of. [She shrugs. As far as Anise knows, you were a kind teacher that the Colonel liked a lot. And then you died. ~~And then got replicated, but she doesn't know that yet~~.]

... Anyway, I think this experiment's messing with our memories or something.

[Oh, Gelda's still dead now. She just doesn't like to talk about it.] It must be. I remember you being fourteen years old.

You're not the first to say something like that, either. It's really confusing.

You aren't the first to think I'd retired from the Oracle Knights, either. How curious.

[She shrugs.] All I know is that I know I haven't been fourteen years old in four years. I'm really not sure what's going on.

Eightteen years old, hm? Are you a Fon Master Guardian, or are my memories faulty in that area as well?

[Anise smiles - a genuinely fond one, at that.]

No, that's correct. I was assigned to Fon Master Ion two years ago, around the time I turned sixteen.

Ah, I see. Aside from the age difference, it doesn't seem like anything's off.

I suppose... [She shrugs, not really able to say anything to that. She doesn't know what she was like from this "before", so.]

[But she still doesn't like thinking that everyone's perception of her was the same - does that make what she knows to be right, wrong? Augh, so confusing.]

... Anyway, how's Nephry? I left before she woke.

[Gelda's silent for a moment, before responding.]

She's recovering very nicely. And she... claims to be a Lieutenant Colonel in the Malkuth army. Does that sound right to you?

[Anise pinches the bridge of her nose.]

As far as I know, Nephry was the governess of the city of Keterburg. Of course, that could be just me. Apparently whether or not what I remember is accurate or remotely correct is up for debate.

You may take comfort in the fact that I remember the same thing. I can't quite picture Nephry as a soldier. [Even if she does suddenly have the body for it.]

That'd mean that Nephry's just like the Colonel, now...? [That is all kinds of creepy and wrong. Anise loves the Colonel, but the world only needs one of him ever.]

Lorelei, this place just... [Is so screwed up, she hates it. But Anise just sighs.]

Why don't we just have a seat? You should still rest whenever able.

Oh no, I'm fine, really. Soldier's constitution, you know. [Oh Anise, why so stubborn.]

I see. Then, how about something to eat? [She needs to mother over Anise somehow.]

That sounds good, actually. I don't think I've really had anything to eat.

Excellent. Let's see if we can make you a sandwich.

[She actually hasn't stopped by the store yet, so she's not sure how much food they still have left in the house at this point.]
