The end of my story.

At the crag, Dist was waiting there, hoping to break the seal. We were not aware what was actually within the seal, only believing that the Planetary Fonic Arte was within.

When we placed the catalysts on the glyph, we released the replica, and the catalysts gave her the necessary fonons to be complete--all according to Dist's plan.

... And what kind of an effect did that have on her?

Extreme power was at her fingertips, and she knew how to wield it.

Yet, despite being complete, she was still a different person?

Yes. Though she looked and sounded like you, and may even have had a few of your personality traits, it was all too clear she was still very much a different person.

What happened next?

She took out Dist with one attack, leaving us to deal with her ourselves.

He has the tenacity of a cockroach.

Jade, you really shouldn't speak that way about your friends. You make it sound like you're disappointed he was unharmed.

I do not mean anything by it. [Oh, he so does.] It was just the most fitting way to describe his survival abilities.

[She raises an eyebrow, but decides to let the matter go.]

How did you ultimately defeat her?

The Planetary Fonic Arte.

You managed to cast it?

Yes. The glyph for the Planetary Fonic Arte was beneath her seal, and with the six catalysts gathered together and placed on the glyph, I was able to cast the arte. Needless to say, it was as powerful as they say, instantly annihilating a dangerous fonist who still had plenty of strength left following the battle.

... That is precisely why I refused to research it any further. The Planetary Fonic Arte's power is far too great a weapon for any human to wield.

Indeed. Having held that power in my hand for that moment... It is indeed something to be feared.

There is no fear of anyone ever being able to use that arte again, though. The Catalysts are scattered, and I cannot replicate the Planetary Fonic Arte, especially if I do not have the glyph.

Could someone not follow the same path you took and bring the Catalysts to Mt. Roneal once more?

Several of the weapons are in protective custody of the ruling powers.

Furthermore, the glyph is damaged.

Oh, I see. That's a relief, then.
